• Checklist
A comprehensive list of necessary elements for some aspect of programme planning or evaluation; for example, risk perception checklists, or checklists to determine levels of youth participation
• Guideline
An indication or outline for undertaking a particular type of programme or programme step; for example, guidelines designed for formulating youth-friendly HIV programmes, counselling young people on HIV/STIs, designing behaviour change interventions, or marketing condoms to young people.
• Handbook
A concise reference book or manual covering a particular subject
• Methodology
A set of methods or procedures used in programme implementation
• Report
A written record, summary, detailed account, or statement; in this mapping exercise, reports provide documentation of initiatives, interventions, programmes, and projects
• Standards
Something established by authority, custom, or general consent as a model or example for an aspect of programme planning; for example, quality standards for monitoring and assessing services’ youth friendliness or standards for peer education practices
• Training Manual/Curriculum
An educational course or set of courses covering an area of specialisation; training manuals or modules used by programme planners and educators
